Library Wins State Award!

TMLDAWe are pleased and excited to announce that the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association has conferred upon us this year's Excellence in Libraries Award! Each year the TMLDA recognizes outstanding contributions made by public libraries, and after the members read our application they recognized that we fit the bill perfectly. Some of the notable statistics of our last fiscal year show that 173,088 items were checked out to nearly 12,500 patrons; 143,260 people passed through the library's doors; more than 14,500 people attended 416 library programs; and we logged nearly 20,000 public access computer sessions. Next time one of your friends talks about how libraries are dying out because of the Internet, please point them in our direction. We'll set them straight!

The Friends of the Boerne Public Library Annual Book Sale is coming up in March, and we need materials to sell there. If you have any used books, videos, audiobooks, and magazines, please drop them off at the library any time during business hours. Thanks so much for your generosity!
