2020 Sessions


Session I:     February 24 through March 30
Session II:    April 13 through May 18
Session III:   September 7 through October 12

Purpose

This class is designed to teach your dog to be a good companion with manners. Walking on a leash, sit, down, stay, leave it, come, and much more are covered. Problems solving will be discussed, as well as tricks and games. This is a fun class for both the dog and human handler.

By training the dog and dog owner to work together as a team, we set the stage for a rewarding and fulfilling relationship.

Topics

  • Basic Skills: sit, down, stay, walking on leash, come, leave- it , wait, attention
  • Two Hour Orientation: Overview of how dogs think, learn, and communicate
  • Solving Behavior Problems: barking, biting, jumping, digging, etc.
  • Listening around distractions
  • Tricks and games
  • Shaping behaviors through positive markers, food lures, positive reinforcement, and timing
  • Socialization
