Live Music at the Library

The library's Live at the Library musical series continues Tuesday, March 9, from 6pm to 8pm. The San Antonio Gold barbershop quartet will evoke fond memories of days gone by. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. This event is co-sponsored by the Boerne Public Library Foundation.
Big Annual Book Sale This Weekend!

The Friends of the Library are frantically getting their huge sale ready for this weekend. It takes place out at the Kendall County Fairgrounds on Friday, March 5, from noon to 5pm; Saturday, March 6, from 9am to 5pm; and on Sunday, March 7, from 10am to 4pm. The Friends will also be holding a silent auction on signed first editions. The bidding will end at noon on Sunday, March 7. You'll find great deals on books, magazines, movies, audio books, music and much more! Make plans to come out and see us. We'll be looking for you!
Library Wins State Award!

TMLDAWe are pleased and excited to announce that the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association has conferred upon us this year's Excellence in Libraries Award! Each year the TMLDA recognizes outstanding contributions made by public libraries, and after the members read our application they recognized that we fit the bill perfectly. Some of the notable statistics of our last fiscal year show that 173,088 items were checked out to nearly 12,500 patrons; 143,260 people passed through the library's doors; more than 14,500 people attended 416 library programs; and we logged nearly 20,000 public access computer sessions. Next time one of your friends talks about how libraries are dying out because of the Internet, please point them in our direction. We'll set them straight!
New Policies

Effective immediately, patrons can check out up to 10 single- or double-disc DVDs per card. Keep in mind that the fine is $1 per day for each overdue DVD. Effective Tuesday, February 16, patrons will lose their borrowing privileges if their fines and fees, including ILL postage, go over $5. Please call us or stop by if you have any questions about these changes.
Tax Forms are Now Available at the Library

You can pick up the most commonly used income tax forms at the library. If we don't have a particular form or other tax document we can download it for you from the IRS website. If you would like to download your own forms, just go to this website.

Our "Live at the Library" musical series continues on Tuesday, January 12 at 6pm. Royce Laskoskie and Kristen Sheppard of Fredericksburg will entertain patrons with their delightful Hill Country music. This event is for the entire family, and refreshments will be served.
